A route you drive or walk yourself, in your own car, on your own day.
Kildare at close quarters. The shrimp boats at Shem Creek, the Old Village streets, the bridge at Pitt Street, and the marsh tower that plays Hawk's Nest.
All of them, free to read. Which one is closest right now? The app sorts them as you go. With The Week ›

The tower in Palmetto Islands County Park stands in for Hawk's Nest, looking out over the marsh and the treeline.

The Week
The Week does not unlock this route: every stop is free to read here. It guides you through it on the day. Across 34 mi of driving, it keeps the nearest stop next, and the map works with no signal. It covers the other 6 routes as well, so the next one costs you nothing extra.
$9 for 7 days · One payment, nothing renews.
Your seven days start in town, when you press Start the day on a paid route or arrive at one of its stops.
The app is on iPhone November 5. The Week is bought inside it, so there is nothing to pay for until then.

It starts at Palmetto Islands County Park and ends at Dunes West Golf and River Club, 3535 Wando Plantation Way, Mount Pleasant, SC. The stops are ordered so the route does not double back.
About 4h for 13 stops, covering 34 miles. That is measured driving time plus the time each stop is worth, not the drive alone.
The locations, the order and what was filmed at each are free to read on this page. The Week covers carrying the route in the app, which sorts the stops by how far away you are, tells you when you have arrived while it is open, and keeps its map and photographs when there is no signal.

The dock bar at Vickery's, on Shem Creek. In an early episode, and closed by the production more than once since.
Season one. The Post and Courier reports that Muddy's, the outdoor bar at Vickery's, was in an early episode, that the production has bought the restaurant out and shut the bar to film and stage scenes on the creek since, and that the dock was renamed Pelican Marina for the series. The episode is not given. It is a bar: order something and sit on the dock, which is the vantage point for the creek the boat scenes run along.

The pharmacy on Pitt Street, and the old causeway out to the marsh.
Sarah takes the pregnancy test in the pharmacy and tells Kiara there. The pharmacy is a working lunch counter and has been since 1937. The causeway at the end of the street was the road to Sullivan's Island until 1945 and now stops in the water, which is what makes it read as somewhere abandoned.

The production dressed the Old Village as downtown Kildare.
Invented storefronts and signage went up over the real ones, and storm debris was dressed into the street. Everything the production added came down after the shoot, so what is standing is the village itself. The pharmacy is the stop before this one and the sheriff's station is the stop after.

The building that played the Kildare County Sheriff's Station.
The white two-storey building with the black shutters is Sheriff Peterkin's station, seen from the car park side in the first two seasons. It was dressed with signage and cruisers for the shoot and nothing of that remains. It is a condominium and people live in it, so this is a stop on the pavement: the shot is from across the car park, and the steps and the door are somebody's front door.

Shrimp boats, docks and marsh. This creek is Kildare's working waterfront.
The boat scenes run along this creek across all five seasons. The fleet works: boats leave early and come back through the afternoon, and the boardwalk out over the marsh is public and open at both ends.

Where Pope works for his father, on the far side of Shem Creek.
A working seafood market on Shem Creek, and Heyward's in every season. It is a dock people make a living on rather than an attraction, so the public side of the boardwalk is the place to look at it from.

The small wooden church on Pitt Street where Sheriff Peterkin meets Lana Grubbs, in season one.
Season one, episode eight. Sheriff Peterkin meets Lana, Scooter's widow, at this church shortly before Peterkin is killed. The exterior is this church; the interior was filmed elsewhere, so the inside does not match. It is a working Lutheran congregation on the corner of Pitt and Simmons, the stop is the outside, and the churchyard is open when there is no service.

Reported as Kiara's parents' house. A private home on McCants Drive.
Reported by one fan guide as the Carrera house, where Kiara lives with her parents, and by nothing official: Netflix's guide does not give the house an address. It is somebody's home on a quiet residential street: the visit is the pavement, do not knock, do not go up the drive, and do not photograph people.

The marina where Hollis makes Rafe the Goat Island offer.
Season four. Hollis brings Rafe out to the boat to talk him into syndicating the land, and it is a deal that turns out to be exactly as good as it sounds. A working marina in Mount Pleasant, so the road is the vantage point.

The outdoor movie theatre, on a summer evening.
A golf and river club in Mount Pleasant, dressed for the evening screening. It is a private members' club, so the grounds are not somewhere to walk in and the drive past is the visit.
