The scene
The Assembly Benjamin Martin argues in front of, and loses.
Randolph Hall, at the head of the Cistern Yard, is where the General Assembly meets to vote on entering the war. The scenes are interiors, so what you are standing in front of is the building rather than the room: the College of Charleston still teaches in it, and the Cistern is the lawn its steps look onto.

The scene
The militia camp in the swamp, and the last scenes of the film.
The blackwater and the cypress here stand in for the swamp the militia disappears into between raids, and the closing scenes were shot on the same water. It is the fifth major production to use these gardens; the flat-bottomed boat you paddle yourself is the same water at eye level.

The places on this page are free to read, one by one. A route puts them in order, tells you what was filmed at each and how to get round them. The app that carries it on the day is coming, and the routes are readable here in the meantime. It covers the other 6 routes as well, so the next one costs you nothing extra.
