It knows which one is next
Sorted by how far away you are, not by the order we wrote them in. Stop 01 is a mile behind you, so the walk starts at 07 and picks the rest up in order.
It works where there is no signal
Half the day is out of town, on marsh roads and barrier islands where the bars run out. A route you cannot open is not a route, so it comes down before you leave.
It knows the road, not the straight line
Eleven stops inside the old city, and the walk between them is pavement rather than a line drawn across the blocks. The route is the streets, traced, so the shape on the screen is the shape of the day.
It costs nothing to open
Every stop is listed either way. The app itself is free, and every location stays readable on this site. What the Week does is guide you on the day.
The shot
Stand where they shot it, then take yours
At the stop, the app holds our photograph over the live camera, faint, so the doorway and the skyline can be lined up. What it saves is the street as it is today, not a composite: our picture is a guide in the viewfinder and never in the file.

What the Week does
The map and the photographs, offline
The marsh roads and the far end of Kiawah have no bars. The map, the route and the writing are on your phone before you leave.
Sorted by how far away you are
Two hours in and you are in Mount Pleasant, so the day starts there, along the road the route was traced on.
Plan it the night before, for nothing
Set where you are staying and the route orders itself from there. The seven days start on the day, not when you plan it.
